Joanne Kirkham
Jo is a solicitor with many years experience of defending marine personal injury claims. She has a particular interest in passenger, crew and stevedore claims.
Over the past 20 years she has done it all; worked as a paralegal in Hong Kong; for shipping companies in France and Holland; for an International P&I Club for many years.
Until recently, Jo was in private practice with Hill Dickinson moving to DGB Solicitors in 2009. Having previously worked for a P&I Club gives Jo a commercial edge in identifying the relevant issues and working towards a practical and realistic solution.
Jo acts for ship owners and operators in the defence of personal injury claims including:-
- Occupational disease
- Employers' liability - crew claims
- Public liability - stevedore and passenger claims
- Pleasure cruise claims
- Personal watercraft claims
Outside work time Jo is committed to supporting local charity "The Wirral Fund for Children with Special Needs" and has a passion for red shoes. Jo confesses to having six pairs including a pair of Jimmy Choos. A career in the West End beckons!
